New product of spunlace process

PGI's Miratec spunlace nonwoven fabrics and Freudonberg's Evolon spunlace nonwoven fabrics are the new generation of spunlace products with the ability to replace textiles and knitwear.

PGI's Miratec fabrics are the most innovative development in both concept and performance for spunlace nonwoven fabrics. The limited samples displayed by PGI company are different from any products currently produced in the non-woven fabric industry. Prior to PGI, J&J Company researched and applied for a patent in 1996 for the use of divergent laser drilling technology to process support bodies for fabric forming devices. It is this technology that makes the shape of Miratec products almost replicate the pattern structure of most 3D textiles. This patent tells people that by moving the laser beam at a fixed point on the forming drum according to a pre-set scanning image, the laser beam can carve patterns, diverse peaks, valleys, holes, etc. on the forming drum. After being spunlace, the patterns on the forming drum will transfer to the spunlace nonwoven fabric, giving it a textile style.

Miratec products not only have this advantage, but also have high strength in both vertical and horizontal directions, and can have true elasticity. Obviously, organization plays a crucial role.

PGI company refers to this new technology as Apex technology. Mirarec fabrics are aimed at the durable textile market, while disposable non-woven fabrics produced by Apex technology are called Miralace (hot rolling process), which can also present various pattern designs. PGI began producing Miratec spunlace nonwoven fabric at the end of 1998, and in 2000, the company also started production of Miratec production lines. PGI and its user Johnson Controls Limited have established a partnership to expand the use of Miratec spunlace nonwoven fabric from its current primary use in furniture and home decor products to automotive interior panels.

Nike, an American company, has now launched a sleeveless low necked sportswear made from 75% recycled polyester fiber and utilizing PGI's Apec spunlace technology. This is a major advancement in the use of non-woven fabrics in clothing. The product uses ultrasonic fusion stitching and has the ability to regulate temperature.
