Baoshan Maritime Safety Bureau assists SIPG in achieving a pulp transportation volume exceeding 2 million tons

On the evening of December 7th, the fully loaded pulp transport ships Penguin Arrow and Helios safely docked at Luojing Port in Baoshan District. As a result, the pulp transport trade volume of Luojing Branch of SIPG in 2023 exceeded 2 million tons, setting a new historical high.

In order to better cooperate with the berthing operation of pulp transport ships, Baoshan Maritime implements differentiated and refined management of pulp transport ships, while providing efficient services. Communicate and provide timely answers to the latest port dynamics, policies and regulations with the cargo ship staff. At the same time, Baoshan Maritime has also established a maritime welfare service point at Luojing Port, creating a tripartite communication bridge between the shipowner, SIPG, and Baoshan Maritime.

Baoshan Maritime Safety Bureau has established a three-level communication and exchange mechanism with the Luojing branch of the same port group, regularly conducting safety production discussions, organizing maritime safety activities on the bow of the ship, providing timely legal consultation and policy answer services, and gaining unanimous recognition from shipowners, cargo owners, operators and other parties. Through the efforts of all parties, the awareness of safety production and compliance has been continuously enhanced, and the rates of vessel detention and violation have continued to decrease.
